As I posted on my last blog, we are hosting a breast cancer charity golf tournament with the theme of Hear Me Roar. Roar is a Katy Perry song. What I'm going to do is put together a song list for my iPod with songs about strong women. I asked my FB friends to email me with ideas for songs. This is what we came up with:
This blog is not about golf technique but about women and golf in general. I'll relate the ups and downs of everyday golf play, the situations we women find ourselves in trying the navigate the male dominated world of golf, and what it's like to be part of a women's golf association. Fore!

If You're Going to Play Competitively, Know Your Rules
When I first started playing golf, I started off as a 9 holer. I was more concerned about how I would swing the club and then get the ball in the hole without making a 10. As I progressively got better, the captain of our match play team asked me if I'd play a match against another club to be paired with a lady who had been playing for awhile. I squirmed saying I don't play that well, I don't know the rules, I don't want to screw up the team. She says, I really need you to play.

UBF....Come on. You Know You're Curious.
I have a girl friend who is a very good golfer. I think she's a 6 or 7 handicapper. She is also a staunch Catholic girl. Went to Catholic schools all of her life. (It doesn't really matter the religion. I'm just trying to make a point.) I've never heard her say one curse word. Now, we have a mutual nemesis golfer.
